I just had a realization.I am in my sweats, my hair is a mess and I don't have on a spot of makeup.
This is some pretty sweet work attire!
There's not a whole lot of people who can go to work like this.
We're pretty dang lucky, wouldn't you say?
So as we struggle with many of the other challenges that being a writer throws at us lets raise our glasses (because, another perk is that we can drink WHATEVER we want as we work) to being able to dress as comfortably as we so choose.
What other little things make it great to be a writer?
And we can make our own schedules, too (as long as we're not working on a deadline).
ReplyDeleteA stockbroker comes to work the first day after giving up his dream of being a writer. His boss notices his tie, jacket and... boxer shorts. When asking the stockbroker what happened to the rest of his outfit the stockbroker replied, "I don't think well with pants on."
Haha! I my gosh. That is too funny. I'm horrible at remembering jokes so I'm definitely going to write that one down :)
ReplyDeleteYes, LOVE being able to set my own schedule.
Well, I dress casual at home and at my day job, but I'd say the best thing about writing is the peace of mind it offers (cheezy but true). Whatever helps your soul:)
ReplyDeleteThe freedom to live out my dreams, fantasies … and not to mention, the thought of the next great story and characters churning in my mind.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to agree with you two as well. Being able to create is just so cool!
