More pics from Montreal

Now, I want to preface this by saying that yes, I am in Montreal for work. I worked from 7am until 6pm. But showing you pictures of work would not be at all interesting...not to mention I'd be braking a million different confidentiality rules. :)

After our work was done it was suggested we head to the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal to see there 'light show'. We had no idea what that meant, but it was starting in 10min so we hurried over there to check it out.

They gave everyone a set of headphones that was programmed to their preferred language (you can sort of make them out on the guy's head in front of me). They had white curtains draped all around the Basilica and the first fifteen minutes was a history lesson that played out on the curtains.

It was pretty impressive, but I wanted to see the Basilica, which was covered in curtains...

But then the movie was done and the curtains dropped and they slowly started lighting the inside.

The words and music continued as the cathedral came to life.

Now, I will admit that though I am Catholic, this was my first time in a few months I had been in a church. But no matter what you believe, it is impossible not to be impressed by the utter beauty of the building and the power it possesses. The work that was put into it and what those people believed. It was breathtaking.

I definitely found myself thinking up scenes and characters that would interact in a setting like this. The possibilities are endless. I'm really glad we got to see it.

Then we had dinner and unfortunately I don't remember the name, but suffice it to say... it was amazing. I had fois gras for the first time and Oh. My. Gosh. Yum. :)

But what was even better is that they set my dessert on fire!

And after the fire went out?

Look at all the little goodies inside!!!

Pecan crumble, Passion Fruit, Banana and Ice Cream.

And the outside was covered in Rum!

Tomorrow is trying to get home... which those of you who have followed this blog for a while, know that me and traveling don't EVER go well. So we'll see if I actually get home tomorrow.

Either way, there should be a lot of opportunity for writing!
