I just wanted to pop in and let everyone know that I am alive after my 13.1 mile run. The weather was perfect in Disney World for the fourth annual Princess Half Marathon. I was terribly sore on Sunday and Monday but am now back to my normal self.
Thank you SO MUCH to all of you who stopped by Emily's blog on Monday for my little interview. If you missed it you can go here. Your words were seriously so sweet. And isn't Emily just awesome?
I promise I will make the rounds to everyone's' blogs next week. I would try and catch up this weekend but I'm off to Arizona for a wedding!!! *uses sing-songy voice for the last few words*. Yay for happy friends and happy lives together and parties to celebrate!
Until then I leave you with pictures from the run, should you be so interested. Have a fantastic weekend and I'll see you on the flip side!

| You have to be on the bus by 3:45am. It's still dark at that time in case you didn't know. :) |
![]() |
| All my running buddies before the race! And yes, you see correctly. We had a Prince running with us as well. Like the Burger King hat? |
![]() |
| Must do something to kill the time. And remember, we're going on very little sleep :) |
![]() |
| Not quite sure what this is. Some sort of Tae Kwon Do perhaps. Jen and I did do some in college... |
![]() |
| And we're off! |
![]() |
| Look at all the Princes we found! |
![]() |
| Made it to the Magic Kingdom! |
![]() |
| Bet you didn't think running a half marathon could be so fun! See, they don't even look like they've already ran seven miles. That's what happens in Disney World because it's magic. ;) ;) |

| Then you get to run under the castle as the trumpets announce your arrival. |

| And at the end you get big shiny metals and limp off to the bus and then hit the showers. |

GREAT PICS!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jolene!
DeleteGlad you did it (marathon) and love the pics. Thanks for reviewing my latest blogpost and have fun at the wedding. Disney World is awesome (plan to go one day) and I'm sure you had lots of great scenery while on your run.
ReplyDeleteI will try to read interview soon.
You are very welcome my dear!
DeleteAnd yes, the interview was so much fun. Definitely go check it out if you get the chance ;)
The pictures are great! It looks like you guys had a ton of fun.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love your skirts!
Haha. I was so jealous about those skirts. Some of my friend's friends from Maine made them. Next year I'm getting one! :)
DeleteWow, that looks like such a fun marathon :) wish they had something like that here :) The best they have is running in sleet from one crappy point to another ;) You inspire me to get my writers butt on my treadmill! :)
ReplyDeleteOh! Yay Jade! I hate running. The most I go when not doing an event is three miles (okay, sometimes a little farther). But the events are just so awesome.
DeleteThat looks like a tremendous amount of fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kyra! It really was. :)
DeleteWell done. I doubt I could up the stairs, let alone a half-marathon.
ReplyDeleteOh geez. I walk some of it for sure. But three of my friends ran the whole thing! (Minus the time for taking pictures.)
DeleteWow! That looks like so much fun! The pictures are awesome.
ReplyDeleteWell done, Kelley. You rock! :)
Thank you Tracy. Yeah, taking a camera on this run is a must! So many great photo ops!
DeleteWe've MISSED YOU!!!!!! Bloggersphere hasn't been the same without you! ;) Thanks for sharing the pics---seriously so much fun!
ReplyDeleteAwww, thanks Morgan! That totally just made my day. :) I've missed you guys too! Though Florida was awesome :)
Delete13.1 miles?! That is crazy! I'm lucky if I can go 1 mile without collapsing haha. And ugh--these pictures made me want to go to Disney World so bad!! I'm going in October with my cousin. Can't come soon enough!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Disney World. So much fun. And if you're going to suffer through 13.1 miles, might as well do it in the Happiest Place on Earth!
DeleteGreat pix. My only concern - Did you ditch your regular prince when you met the Disney princes? Oddly, I found myself looking. I've wanted to run that (because I thought my sister would do it with me). She's off to Hong Kong soon (and yes, the motivation is to visit Disney). Enjoy the wedding and sunny adventures. The blogosphere will be here when you return.
ReplyDeleteYou should TOTALLY do it! Its so much fun!
DeleteCongratulations. And I agree, Emily is awesome.
ReplyDeleteHaha. Yes she is!
DeleteWay to go. That looks like a ton of fun. And have a great time in Arizona! Are you singing at the wedding? :)
ReplyDeleteAh, I wish. I mean, I'll probably be singing with the music because that's just what I do. But no, no solo performances. :)
DeleteI would have loved to see all the running princesses!! :-) Good for you, and have a great time at the wedding.
ReplyDeleteThanks Melissa! It is so inspirational to run with 23,000 other women (and some men).
DeleteWhat great pictures! If I ran I think I would want to do it in Disney World :)
ReplyDeleteIt's the only time i really run! :) haha
DeleteGreat job! I live in Phoenix, so if that's where you're headed, it's going to be very warm this weekend. I forecast the A/C kicking on:) Have a wonderful trip!
ReplyDeleteThat is where I'm headed! If I can get out of WI which is supposed to get 8 inches of snow starting two hours before I take off :(
DeleteThat looks like so much fun! The longest I've ever run at one time is 7 miles but then I ran 5 more a few hours later and then 4 more a few hours later. SO I know I could do this. If I just get off my butt.
ReplyDeleteYou totally could do it! You should do it with us next year!
DeleteEverything you do sounds absolutely amazing. Such great pictures, too!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a blast! Nice job on the race. I would have dropped dead 1/2 way through. I am thinking about running The Walking Dead race in Indy this summer.
ReplyDeleteI left you a little sumthin sumthin on my blog.
Loved your pix!
See you on the flip side girl! Have fun in Arizona! That sounds like fun :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun trip! Thanks for sharing the pictures. It made it so I could live vicariously through you.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pics.
ReplyDeleteoh! This is so great! I wanna do this! How fun! I'm not sure I can run that much...(I hate running). haha.
ReplyDeleteSo impressive to go 13.5 miles! I felt good when I did three without stopping, so you're just amazing. It looks like it was a heck of a good time. Have more fun in Arizona!
ReplyDeleteNot only did you run a half marathon, you were up to get a bus at 3:45AM!!! That's crazy. You really are SuperWoman. Pics were awesome and looks like it was all worth it :) I'm loving the skirts your friends are rocking. I want one! lol.
ReplyDeleteYou have to be the most goingest gal I know:) Have fun at the wedding!
ReplyDeleteHello Kelley! I tagged you in a meme. It isn't necessary to participate, but if you do have fun. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the 1/2!!! That one looks fun! I did the San Antonio year before last, except I'd blown my knee out (crushed knee cap & torn meniscus repair) 8 months prior, so I walked the darned thing in a little over 3 hours, not bad.
ReplyDeleteI've missed seeing ya around, thought I'd check in and make sure you were still alive! My surgery was successful, and I'm on the mend. Take care and have fun at the wedding!
Kelley that is awesome! I can't think of a better way to run that many miles :) Glad you had an amazing trip, what an accomplishment!
ReplyDeletehow awesome! and i love the princess running gear!
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolute blast that must have been. Been to Disneyland dozens of times as a kid, but never Disneyworld. And you get to be in another sunny state *looks outside at the gray* lucky! :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun! It looks like you had a blast! You are so awesome. Seriously awesome.
