Hey everyone!
This new blogger layout has me super confused. I'm sure I'll eventually get the hand of it but geez... just when I figure out the old one they go and switch it on me.
Funny story. Last night I had my first softball game with a bunch of friends. We're a fairly athletic bunch so we thought... why not put together a softball team? Me and three of the other girls carpooled and got to the field twenty minutes early. Five minutes before the game one of the guys called and is like, 'Are you here?'
I was like, 'Yes, we've been here for twenty minutes.' To which he replied. 'We're on field six. Where are you?'
It took two seconds to count the fields in front of me, of which there were only three.
We were at the completely wrong place.
Yeah... we jumped in our car and drove like mad to the fields down the road. Only started like ten minutes late.
So anyways... I'm going to unplug from the blogosphere, just through the end of the week. I've gotten some great critiques back for The Cricket Project and am currently also working on a Contemporary YA collaboration with Jen Morris, not to mention all those other little life things that need to get done. I plan on making the rounds this weekend.
If you'd like a few words of understanding when it comes to the writerly world, click here to see my post which is up on our blog Falling for Fiction.
And if you haven't signed up for the 'Oh Those High School Dances' bloghop click on that cool little button Miss Emily R. King designed on the left side of the screen and sign up! It should be TONS of fun! :)

LOL, that's funny! I've done that before, not with baseball or anything, but thought I was somewhere I was supposed to be only I really wasn't. Enjoy your break and good luck with all your projects!! :D
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the break.
ReplyDeleteI've ended up in the wrong fields before, too. It's a simple mistake. ;)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your time unplugged. I'm enjoying mine, though I'm really missing you guys!
Good luck with the revisions, and Just when Blogger was starting to really feel comfortable: ERG.
ReplyDeleteTotally coincidental, but the night they changed it, I wrote a post titled... Changes.
After this A to Z I'm ready to unplug. I know, that sounds bad, huh? Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI need to unplug too. Way behind, but you guys keep writing good stuff and I have to come read it!
ReplyDeleteWe'll miss you. Have a fun and productive writing week!
ReplyDeleteenjoy the time away. and yeah, this new blogger? so annoying!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI've shown up at the wrong funeral before. That was a wee bit embarrassing.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Whoops!
ReplyDeleteHope you get loads of work done while you're unplugged! :D
I can't stop laughing at Cassie. Sorry. The wrong funeral??
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were able to get to your softball game.
And YAY!!!!! for Charlie and Lucy. Love them to bits. ;0)

ReplyDeleteHow funny! I've done stuff like that before! Have fun being 'unplugged'.
ReplyDeleteOh, I've been thinking about a break too. Too overwhelmed over here. Though, I can't really stay away. I tried LOL
ReplyDeleteAnyway, enjoy your break! Don't take too long to come back to us ;)
LOL! Oh so funny! I would do something like that! Hope you had fun at the game though. That would be a blast!
ReplyDeleteHave a great and productive break :-)
ReplyDeleteWe've all shown up to the wrong field before, apparently...at least a lot more of us than I knew lol!! So you are in good company :-)
How fun! There's nothing like racing like mad to get somewhere to get your heart pumping for the game. :)
ReplyDeleteSee if that were me I would have gone to the wrong field on purpose so I wouldn't have to play softball. You are a better person than me :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great time working and focusing! :)
ReplyDeleteI completely understand unplugging! (A-Z has kicked my blogging butt!)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I didn't like the new blogger interface and was able to switch back (this was after the "forced switch"). Maybe you can too?
Have fun with your friends! Glad you found the right field. :)
So how'd the game go?
ReplyDeleteYou and your friends sound like a lot of fun. I don't know many people who start softball teams on a whim. I miss softball! Enjoy your respite.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for you to get back. Have fun! Loving that pick Kelley.
ReplyDeleteI've unplugged before. Great time to catch up on things! Enjoy!
